Why More Trails?

Trails provide value to our community. Aside from mountain biking, many other community members benefit from a healthy outdoor recreation scene including healthier people, increased economic activity, and an opportunity for everyone to experience the heart and soul of Santa Fe.

Please consider joining the Santa Fe Fat Tire Society and contributing to our trails.

Trail Work Dates

  • GBP Sign Post Installation

    December 3, 2022  10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Cowboy Shack Trailhead (Galisteo Basin Preserve), Lamy, NM 87540, USA

GBP is redoing all the junction signs in their trail system and need 20 new posts installed and metal caps to hold the new signs on all 74 junctions. I'm scheduling 3 workdays to get this done. We'll split up into small teams of 2-3 to work on installing remaining caps on posts. For installing the sign caps, the posts will need to be cut at a 45 degree angle so a cordless skill saw will be a big help. I'll send details the day before the workday for the people that have signed up. THANKS! Click here to RSVP.
