Atalaya Flyers Rides are the perfect way to introduce kids 13 and under (and their families) to the joys of mountain biking. Our Kids’ rides are all about fun and play, while also teaching important trail etiquette, skills, and safety.
If you’ve been looking for a way to get your younger kids hooked on mountain biking, come join our supportive community of parents and kids at our weekly Monday night rides at La Tierra. We’ll have a blast exploring the trails together!
Learning to ride a mountain bike can be a little daunting for young riders. That’s why our group rides are a fantastic way to motivate your kids and get them excited about riding! They’ll have a blast playing with kids their own age in a safe and supportive environment.
Our group of dedicated parent-led ride leaders have years of experience riding in Santa Fe and beyond. They take a slow and communicative approach, helping kids conquer those hills and face their fears on challenging downhills.
Play is the secret sauce that helps our young riders master mountain biking. When kids are having fun, they’re more likely to push their limits, try new things, and build confidence on the trails. Play lets them explore their skills, experiment with different techniques, and develop a love for the sport without feeling pressured to perform. This is even more important for our youngest riders, keeping them engaged is key, so don’t be surprised if we stop in an arroyo to build a fort or take a much-needed “joke” break.
