Bike-O-Ween

What: Bike Santa Fe's Bike-O-Ween Celebration
When: Saturday, October 23, 2pm - 8pm
Where: Santa Fe Railyard Plaza (adjacent to 2nd Street Brewery)

On Saturday, October 23, 2010, Bike Santa Fe will host "Bike-O-Ween", our first annual fundraiser at the Railyard. This will be a fun, informative day for families and cyclists. We see this as an opportunity to unite the Santa Fe cycling community, clubs and organizations.

From 2pm-4pm, Bike Santa Fe will host bicycle safety drills for both children and adults.

At 4pm, Mayor Coss will address the audience. Followed by a presentation from the Metropolitan Planning Organization covering ongoing bicycle-related projects and anticipated improvements expected in the near future.

At 5pm, Mellow Velo is hosting a Bicycle Costume Contest! Prizes for Best Adult, Best Kid, Scariest, Funniest and Best Bike Costume!

At 6:30pm, the winning raffle ticket for the Giant Via City Bike (donated by Rob and Charlie’s Bike Shop - fit to winner size) will be drawn. Tickets are 1/$5 or 5/$20. All raffle proceeds benefit Bike Santa Fe.

Throughout the day, REI is offering free bike wrenching.

Entertainment will be provided by a variety of talented local musicians - Ben Wright, Melanie Moore, Kin Keezy, Gargamel, plus folk music and more.

Our intention is that this event will have something for everyone. We hope you will join us in celebrating cycling.
