Santa Fe Fat Tire Society's Mt. Bike Mixer #1 (An Open-To-The Public, informal, low-key gathering of people who are interested in - or - love Mountain Biking.) The topic for this gathering of Fat-Tire-Aficionados is "Mt. Biking in the Highlands of Peru - If the airport is at 12,000 ft., what's it like to ride off road?"

Fat Tire Society Members, Robert Menegio and Jeff Della Penna will open this Mt. Bike Mixer with tales and images of their respective off-road cycling adventures in and around Cusco. Menegio joined an outfitter for one of the most popular rides in Peru, On a rented bike, dropping over 3,000 vertical feet, from the weaving village of Chinchero, down through the high agricultural plateau, through the ancient Incan salt pools, all the way into the fabled Sacred Valley.

Della Penna has done "bike and hikes" with his custom-made travel-bike around the sacred mountain of Ausangate, through the Scared Urubamba River Valley and all the way into the remote high altitude villages of The Q'eros, known for their mystical Andean shamanism.
