National Public Lands Day at Galisteo Basin Preserve

in
Hard Hat

What: National Public Lands Day
When: Saturday, September 29th from 8:45am to 1:30pm
Where: Galisteo Basin Preserve - Cowboy Shack Trailhead

Info: Come join the Fat Tire Society as we partner with the Commonweal Conservancy, the Trails Alliance of Santa Fe, and REI as we put the finishing touches on the new Blue Moon Loop Trail at the Galisteo Basin Preserve. The Commonweal Conservancy was awarded a $5000 grant from REI to get the work started on this new section of trail. We will gather with tools in hand to complete this new loop.

The new Blue Moon Loop Trail will create a critical connection between the Preserve's most popular single-track trails and a two-track ranch road loop in the southern part of the Preserve that until now has had limited accessibility. Participants will get an REI Volunteer Get Dirty shirt. Please bring water, snacks, work gloves and boots.

We will be meeting at the Cowboy Shack Trailhead at 8:45. We should be returning to the trailhead by 1:30.

Event Date:
Sat, 09/29/2012 - 8:45am - 1:30pm
